Mixing and Mastering
Mixing and Mastering are the last steps in the production process and are critical to producing a quality record. In the mixing stage, all elements are blended to achieve a balanced sound and all intricacies are highlighted to showcase your unique production. Creative effects and custom sound design can also be added. In the mastering stage, your song is polished to increase clarity and fullness, and then brought to commercial loudness so that is ready for the club, the radio, and streaming services.
Botanicus will help your tracks achieve their highest potential by carefully examining the needs of your track, developing a personalized strategy for your project, and spending the time required to address all details and delivery high quality results. Learn more by reading the FAQ.

Q: Should I purchase mixing and mastering or just mastering?
A: I provide free pre-mix/master consultations to discuss your project. If you need a trained ear to mix your track - I got you. If you are confident in your mixdown, then your song is ready for mastering. If you are unsure about your mix, I will evaluate it and provide my recommendation.
Q: Why would I choose botanicus to mix and master my song?
A: I have been developing my ear for over 20 years by listening critically to wide varieties of music. I started producing my own music when I was in 3rd grade and I have been performing since 2005. I apply mathematical knowledge to achieve technical precision. And most importantly, I offer an unmatched level of personalized service and I pay greater attention to the needs and fine details of your music than budget or instant mastering services. There is no limit or cost of revisions and your satisfaction is 100% guaranteed.
Q: How do I send you my files?
A: Zip up multiple files then send a WeTransfer or DropBox download link through the contact forum or to my email when purchasing.
Q: How do I prepare my song for mastering?
A: Mix your track to the best of your ability. Leave 4-10 dB of headroom on the master channel to prevent unwanted distortions. Export your file in .wav or .aif format with 16-bit depth and a sample rate of 44100 Hz (24-bit/48000+ Hz is better).
Q: What if I have other questions?
A: Please contact me so I can answer all your questions.
